THE FOUNDATION

He spent time in New York City learning from leaders at the highest levels in business and political life.
Daniel served 7 years as a reservist in the Canadian Armed Forces.
Daniel is a member of a traumatic event team supporting young people and adults as they deal with and navigate significant changes and loss in their lives.
THE OUTCOME
Daniel currently works with professionals and young people of all abilities and backgrounds in primary and secondary schooling in Quebec with the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board. He enables young people as they progress in leadership ability and effectiveness.
“Leaders are made when a person is given the levers and opportunity to grow from being a spectator, to a participant and into a stakeholder.”
Daniel's leadership development tools help make learning more comprehensive for young people by connecting the concepts learned in the classroom to the real world.
"Meaningful education is best expressed by enabling students to not only reach and surpass their academic goals but to equip young people with the essential skills and tools to build confidence and resiliency as they navigate and construct repeatable long-term success, healthy relationships and well-being."
THE LIFE

TESTIMONIALS
"In my private life, I have been a parent-volunteer to this program while my daughter was attending high school, and even though my daughter graduated a few years ago, I remained part of the Leadership family but now as a Consultant/Mentor. The life experiences that I have been exposed to leadership though my association with the ASL is beyond words. To be able to be part of a family of so many great individuals with a common thread (developing our youth to become exceptional leaders) has been, and continues to be, an incredible feeling of accomplishment. I am forever grateful."
George Papathanasopoulos
Parent, Community Leader, Human Resource Manager
“Thank you ever so much for this invitation to participate. It has been an intriguing tie into going to high school and in a year where many of my students opted for private schools it was good advertising for the positive endeavours in our public schools.
"What leadership meant and still means to me now is the fire to not only change yourself but to change those around you and to affect them in a way that will be with them forever. To be an example of respect, of love and of true leadership and that is not something that can be bought and is truly priceless."
Jessica Williams - 2013 Graduate
"Leadership is all about giving back your community which includes doing positive things with positive people. Leadership has brought so much potential and positivity in my life. I have done things that involved volunteer work like organizing activities, hosting events, donating food for the homeless and doing things that are related to public speaking like a ted talk on my experience with autism.
I was struggling in my life academically and socially and then Daniel Johnson came into my life and has turned it into a more positive one. Leadership has opened other doors into my world which were what I wanted to do in life and made me do other things like become student council president. I found a lot of pride, confidence and courage in leadership and because of it, I’m able to help others and do things that are related to politics.
I’ve learnt that I can do anything in life and that I am able to give back to my community by helping others. Leadership builds a lot of character and helps you get through obstacles and challenges. Keep working hard and you will make it!"
